Tradeify is an exceptionally fast growting futures prop firm. Since inception, the branded search volume grew to 165,000 searches per month within the United States, and nearly 400,000 globally, which is impressive for a new prop firm. Tradeify is one of the first firms that integrate with Tradesea trading platform, which is powered by an Rithmic data feed, while using Tradovate and Wealthcharts is also possible.
Overall, the offering is well-balanced. The EOD drawdown method is the most convenient one for prop traders and much better than an intraday drawdown method, which is a big plus. But the back-and-forth switching between consistency levels and daily loss limit rules in evaluation phases and then funded accounts is a bit frustrating. A straighter product lineup with those rules would be better.
- In the Growth program, for example, you trade the challenge without consistency rules, but with a daily loss limit. But then, once funded, things get harder because you then have a consistency rule of 35% (no single trading day’s profit can be bigger than 35% of total profit).
- In the Select Evaluation it is vice versa. You start with a 40% consistency in evaluation without a daily loss limit, but then in the funded stage the 40% consistency gets removed, but you have to choose between a daily and flex path, which differ in payout frequency, max payout, and whether a daily loss limit applies.
- The Lightning accounts are Tradeify’s instant funding accounts, with okay pricing, but a more than challenging consistency rule of 20%. I recommend reading our consistency rule guide if you are not aware of why this 20% is bad.
Considering the rules, the Select Evaluation accounts seem to be the better choice. Those who make it through the challenge with a 40% consistency rule will have it easier in funded accounts to reach a payout without the consistency rule applied. The Growth program is not a good choice because things get harder in the funding stage, and the 20% consistency in the Lightning accounts feels too restrictive.
What I’d like to see in future product releases is a consistent rule set across the evaluation stage to the funded stage with similar drawdown methods, daily loss and consistency rules, as TradeDay does.

*The daily loss limit for the 150K Growth funded account is $3,750 for accounts purchased before March 31, 2026, and $3,000 for accounts purchased on or after that date. The daily loss limit is not fixed: once the funded account reaches a 6% profit threshold, the DLL increases to match the max drawdown amount for that account size. The trailing drawdown locks in place on funded accounts once profits exceed the drawdown amount by $100, after which the drawdown floor becomes static and no longer trails upward.

*There is no daily loss limit during the Select evaluation phase or in the Select Flex funded path. However, if you choose the Select Daily funded path after passing, a daily loss limit applies: $500 (25K), $1,000 (50K), $1,250 (100K), or $1,750 (150K). The Select Daily funded path also has a lower max drawdown than the Flex path for larger accounts: 100K Daily is $2,500 vs. $3,000 for Flex; 150K Daily is $3,500 vs. $4,500 for Flex. Contract limits on Select funded accounts start reduced and scale up as equity grows, reaching the full limits shown above only after hitting defined profit thresholds. The trailing drawdown locks in place on funded accounts once profits exceed the drawdown amount by $100, after which the drawdown floor becomes static and no longer trails upward.

*The Lightning account has no evaluation phase, so there is no eval consistency rule. The funded consistency rule starts at 20% for the first payout, increases to 25% for the second payout, and becomes 30% from the third payout onward. The 25K Lightning account has no daily loss limit. The daily loss limit for the 150K Lightning account is $3,000 for accounts purchased on or after March 31, 2026; a $3,750 DLL applied to accounts purchased before that date. Once a Lightning funded account reaches 6% profit, the DLL increases to match the max drawdown amount for that account size. The trailing drawdown locks in place once profits exceed the drawdown amount by $100, after which the drawdown floor becomes static.
Rules
Drawdown / Max Loss
Type of Drawdown: All account types across all stages (Evaluation, Simulated Funded, and Live) use an End-of-Day (EOD) trailing drawdown. The drawdown limit adjusts only once per day, at the close of the trading session, based on the highest end-of-day balance ever recorded. Intraday fluctuations do not move the drawdown floor.
How EOD Trailing Drawdown Works:
The drawdown trails the account’s highest ever end-of-day balance (the “high water mark”). If the EOD balance sets a new all-time high, the drawdown floor moves up accordingly. If the EOD balance is lower than a previous day, the drawdown floor stays where it is and only moves up, never down.
Even though the drawdown floor only updates at end of day, it is enforced in real-time. If the account balance drops to or below the drawdown limit at any point during the trading day, the account fails immediately.
Maximum Trailing Drawdown by Account Size:
| Account Size | Growth Evaluation | Growth Sim Funded | Select Evaluation | Select Flex Funded | Select Daily Funded | Lightning Funded |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $1,000 | $1,000 | $1,000 | $1,000 | $1,000 | $1,000 |
| $50K | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 |
| $100K | $3,500 | $3,500 | $3,000 | $3,000 | $2,500 | $4,000 |
| $150K | $5,000 | $5,000 | $4,500 | $4,500 | $3,500 | $5,250 |
Note: The Lightning Funded 150K has a trailing drawdown of $6,000 for accounts purchased before the new dashboard launch. The 150K Lightning DLL of $3,750 applies to accounts purchased before March 31, 2026.
Daily Loss Limit (DLL):
The DLL is a separate, softer risk control that pauses trading for the current session when reached. Hitting the DLL does not fail the account. Trading resumes the following session (after 6:00 PM ET). It resets each trading day.
The DLL applies to: Growth (Evaluation and Sim Funded), Lightning Funded, and Select Daily Funded accounts. Select Flex funded accounts and Select Evaluation accounts have no DLL.
Note: The $25K Lightning Funded account has no Daily Loss Limit protection.
Initial DLL Amounts:
| Account Size | Growth / Lightning DLL | Select Daily DLL |
|---|---|---|
| $25K | $600 (Growth Eval) / None (Lightning) | $500 |
| $50K | $1,250 | $1,000 |
| $100K | $2,500 | $1,250 |
| $150K | $3,000 (post-March 31, 2026) / $3,750 (pre-March 31, 2026) | $1,750 |
DLL Increase at 6% Profit:
When a funded account reaches 6% profit (balance reaches the threshold below), the DLL increases to match the drawdown amount. This larger DLL takes effect the next trading session.
| Account | Balance Trigger | Lightning DLL Becomes | Growth DLL Becomes |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $26,500 | N/A | $1,000 |
| $50K | $53,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 |
| $100K | $106,000 | $4,000 | $3,500 |
| $150K | $159,000 | $6,000 | $5,000 |
For accounts purchased before September 12, 2025, the DLL is completely removed (not just increased) once the 6% profit threshold is reached.
How DLL is Calculated: Daily loss is measured from the session open balance. The DLL resets at the start of each new session (6:00 PM ET).
Critical Warning: Never use the DLL as a stop loss. During volatile conditions or news events, slippage may cause the account to breach the Max Trailing Drawdown before the DLL triggers, resulting in a permanent account failure.
Drawdown Lock (Simulated Funded Accounts Only):
On Sim Funded accounts (not Evaluations), the trailing drawdown locks in place once the account profits beyond the drawdown amount by $100. After locking, the drawdown floor becomes a fixed floor that never moves up again.
| Account Size | Growth Lock Trigger | Lightning Lock Trigger | Select Flex Lock Trigger | Select Daily Lock Trigger |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $26,100 | $26,100 | $26,600 | $26,100 |
| $50K | $52,100 | $52,100 | $52,100 | $52,100 |
| $100K | $103,600 | $104,100 | $103,100 | $102,600 |
| $150K | $155,100 | $155,350 | $154,600 | $153,600 |
Once locked, the drawdown floor becomes fixed at $100 above starting balance (e.g., $50,100 for a 50K account) and never moves up again.
Breach Consequences:
Breaching the Max Trailing Drawdown (hard breach) results in permanent, immediate account failure with no recovery. Breaching the DLL (soft breach) pauses trading until the next session only.
Consistency Rule
Does a consistency rule exist: Yes, but it applies differently depending on the account type and stage.
Select Evaluation: A 40% consistency requirement applies during the evaluation phase only. No single trading day’s profit can exceed 40% of total profits earned from the first day of trading up to the payout request date. Because of this, the minimum number of trading days to pass a Select Evaluation is 3 (no single day can represent 100% or 50% of two-day profit and stay under 40%). The consistency rule is removed entirely once the trader passes and enters the funded stage, regardless of payout policy chosen.
Growth Evaluation and Growth Sim Funded: Growth Evaluation has no consistency requirement. Traders can pass in a single day. Growth Sim Funded accounts must follow a 35% consistency rule for payout eligibility. No single trading day’s profit can represent more than 35% of total profits accumulated since the last payout.
Lightning Funded (post-September 12, 2025): A progressive consistency rule applies:
- First payout: 20%
- Second payout: 25%
- Third and all subsequent payouts: 30%
Lightning Funded (purchased before September 12, 2025 at 8:00 AM EST): A flat 20% consistency rule applies to all payouts, without the progressive scaling.
Formula: Biggest End-of-Day PnL ÷ Consistency % = Total Balance Required
Calculation Example: If your biggest day was $1,000 and the rule is 20%, you need at least $5,000 in total profit ($1,000 ÷ 0.20 = $5,000).
Dashboard Update: Consistency stats update once daily during the 5–8 PM EST reconciliation window.
Effect on Trading: The consistency rule only determines payout eligibility. It does not restrict trading in any way. Traders can continue trading even if consistency is breached, they simply cannot request a payout until it is met.
Resolving a Breach: To work out of a consistency breach, the trader must accumulate additional profit on smaller days until the largest single day falls below the applicable percentage of total profits. Losing days can worsen consistency because they reduce total profits (the denominator), which pushes the ratio of the biggest day higher.
After an Approved Payout: Consistency resets to zero. A fresh cycle begins and the trader must meet the consistency rule again before the next payout.
Leverage
Contract Conversion: 10 Micro contracts = 1 Mini contract. Traders may hold either Minis or Micros, but not both simultaneously (see Prohibited Conduct).
Evaluation Accounts (Growth and Select):
| Account Balance | Max E-mini Contracts | Max Micro Contracts |
|---|---|---|
| $25K | 1 | 10 |
| $50K | 4 | 40 |
| $100K | 8 | 80 |
| $150K | 12 | 120 |
Note: Accounts purchased before September 12, 2025 at 8:00 AM EST retain legacy position limits: 50K = 5 minis / 50 micros; 100K = 10 minis / 100 micros; 150K = 15 minis / 150 micros.
Lightning Funded (post-September 12, 2025):
| Account Balance | Max E-mini Contracts | Max Micro Contracts |
|---|---|---|
| $25K | 1 | 10 |
| $50K | 4 | 40 |
| $100K | 8 | 80 |
| $150K | 12 | 120 |
Legacy Lightning accounts (pre-September 12, 2025) retain: 50K = 5 minis / 50 micros; 100K = 10 minis / 100 micros; 150K = 15 minis / 150 micros.
Select Flex and Select Daily Funded (contract scaling applies):
Select funded accounts start with reduced contract limits that scale up as end-of-day equity grows:
| Account Size | Starting Contracts | Scaling Trigger 1 ($1,500 equity) | Scaling Trigger 2 ($2,000 equity) | Scaling Trigger 3 ($3,000 equity) | Scaling Trigger 4 ($4,500 equity) | Max Contracts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | 1 mini / 10 micro | 2 mini / 20 micro | – | – | – | 2 mini / 20 micro |
| $50K | 2 mini / 20 micro | 3 mini / 30 micro | 4 mini / 40 micro | – | – | 4 mini / 40 micro |
| $100K | 3 mini / 30 micro | 4 mini / 40 micro | 5 mini / 50 micro | 8 mini / 80 micro | – | 8 mini / 80 micro |
| $150K | 3 mini / 30 micro | 4 mini / 40 micro | 5 mini / 50 micro | 8 mini / 80 micro | 12 mini / 120 micro | 12 mini / 120 micro |
Scaling triggers are based on end-of-day balance. When a trigger is reached, limits increase the next trading day. Scaling is calibrated at EOD and applies to both Select Flex and Select Daily.
No scaling restrictions during Evaluation: Full contract limits are available from day one of any evaluation account.
Position Scaling in Growth Sim Funded: No scaling restrictions. Full limits available immediately.
Consequence of Exceeding Position Limits: Exceeding the maximum position size is a prohibited conduct violation and can result in account failure or payout denial.
Differences Across Stages: Evaluation accounts have full limits from day one. Select Sim Funded accounts use a progressive scaling system. Growth and Lightning Sim Funded accounts have no scaling restrictions once funded.
Trading Hours
Trading Day Definition: A Tradeify trading day runs from 6:00 PM Eastern Time to 5:00 PM Eastern Time the next calendar day (following CME futures market hours). This is referred to as a “market session.”
Market Opens: 6:00 PM ET (Sunday through Thursday evenings)
Market Closes: 5:00 PM ET (Monday through Friday)
Daily Maintenance Break: 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM ET
Position Closing Deadline: All positions must be closed by 4:59 PM ET on regular trading days.
Holiday Shortened Days: On early-close market holidays, all positions must be closed by 12:59 PM ET. Holiday market hour announcements are posted in the Tradeify Discord server.
Overnight and Weekend Positions: No overnight or swing trading is permitted. Positions cannot be held through the 5:00–6:00 PM ET maintenance window or over the weekend (Friday close to Sunday open). However, traders can hold a position for the entirety of a single trading session. For example, opening at 8:00 PM Monday and closing at 2:00 PM Tuesday is permitted, as both occur within the same session.
Automatic Position Closure: If positions remain open at the 4:59 PM ET deadline, Tradeify will automatically close them. This automatic closure will not result in account failure, but slippage or unfavorable fills may occur.
Holiday Hours: Market holidays result in shortened sessions. Always check the Tradeify Discord for holiday-specific close times before trading.
This rule applies to all account types including Live.
News Trading: Tradeify has no restrictions on trading around news events. Traders may trade news at their own risk. Slippage warnings apply. The DLL should never be used as a stop loss during volatile news conditions.
Asset-Specific Close Time Exceptions: No exceptions found for specific instruments.
Multiple Accounts
Evaluation Accounts: Unlimited. There is no cap on the number of evaluation accounts a trader can hold simultaneously.
Purchase restrictions for Select Evaluations: a maximum of 15 evaluations can be purchased within any 30-day period. Each evaluation can be reset up to 10 times within a 30-day period.
Simulated Funded Accounts: A maximum of 5 Simulated Funded Accounts at any one time per individual user. This limit applies per household as well. All funded accounts across all users in the same household count toward the 5-account cap. This cap applies regardless of account type (Growth, Select Flex, Select Daily, Lightning Funded can all be mixed).
Daily Activation Limit: A maximum of 5 Growth Funded accounts can be activated per day. The limit resets every 24 hours (UTC).
Live Funded Accounts: Up to 5 Elite Live accounts can be held simultaneously, corresponding to each funded account that received at least one payout and is eligible for live transition.
Separate Credentials: Not required per account. All accounts under the same user share the same Tradovate or Rithmic login credentials.
Business / LLC Accounts: Accounts may be created under personal or business information. The distinction matters at payout time and business payouts require completing the KYB (Know Your Business) process rather than standard KYC. Personal and business accounts can be combined, but the total Sim Funded count across both cannot exceed 5.
Trade Copiers / Copy Trading: Copy trading is permitted only between accounts that the same trader personally owns and manages. Copying trades to or from accounts owned by other people is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
Using Tradovate’s Group Trading feature or WealthCharts‘ Trade Copier is allowed for multi-account self-copying. Note that Group Trading does not support ATM (bracket) strategies, and the “Exit All Positions Cancel All” button only affects the selected account, not the entire group.
Consequences of Using External Trade Copiers: Use at your own risk. Tradeify cannot repair or compensate for issues caused by third-party trade copiers.
Sim and Live Accounts Cannot Coexist: Once a trader transitions to Elite Live, all Sim Funded and Evaluation accounts are closed. No new evaluations or sim accounts can be opened while any Live account is active.
Prohibited Conduct
Hedging: Strictly prohibited across all account types (Evaluation, Sim Funded, and Live). Two separate rules apply:
Rule 1- No Hedging: Traders cannot hold opposing positions (long and short simultaneously) on the same instrument at the same time. This applies whether the positions are on the same account or across different accounts.
Rule 2 – No Mixing Mini and Micro Contracts: Traders cannot hold Mini and Micro contracts simultaneously, even on different instruments and even in the same direction.
Mini symbols include: ES, NQ, YM, RTY, CL, GC, SI, HG, NG, 6E, 6B, 6J. Micro symbols include: MES, MNQ, MYM, M2K, MCL, MGC, M6E, M6A.
Traders may switch between contract types across sessions. The rule only prohibits holding both types at the same time.
A 10-second grace period applies before a hedging violation is flagged, allowing traders to correct accidental conflicts.
Cross-Account Hedging: Hedging and contract mixing rules apply across all linked accounts, not just within a single account. Systems monitor positions across all accounts associated with the same trader.
Automated Hedging Detection (Evaluation Accounts Only): An evaluation account is only breached if all three of the following conditions are met simultaneously: (1) opposing positions exist, (2) the hedge duration exceeds 10 seconds, and (3) profit generated from the hedge exceeds $250. Meeting only one or two conditions does not trigger a breach. Sim Funded and Live accounts are subject to manual review.
Exploiting Platform or Simulator Mechanics: Strictly forbidden. Traders may not exploit discrepancies in price displays, delays in updates, or any other technical errors. This is covered under the Good Faith Policy.
Algorithmic and Automated Trading: Permitted under the following conditions:
- The trader must be the sole owner of the bot or strategy and able to prove it.
- Tradeify scans for similar orders across accounts and may require a live video demonstration.
- The bot cannot be used across multiple firms simultaneously.
- High-frequency trading (HFT) bots are not permitted.
- Tradeify reserves the right to request documentation if risk measures flag the account.
Microscalping: Both of the following criteria must be met at all times:
- More than 50% of all trades must be held longer than 10 seconds.
- More than 50% of total profit must come from trades held longer than 10 seconds.
Failure to meet either criterion will prevent evaluation activation or payout requests.
Trading on Behalf of Other People: Accounts must be held and traded by the registered account holder.
VPN / VPS Usage: Traders cannot log in using a VPN. After logging in normally, a VPS may be used for trading at the trader’s own risk.
Consequences of Violations:
- Warning (depending on severity and account stage)
- Payout denial
- Disqualification (for Evaluation accounts)
- Account set to FAILED status
- All involved accounts set to FAILED (for cross-account violations)
- Profits generated during a violation period may be removed upon reinstatement
- Permanent ban from the platform (for chargebacks and fraud)
Chargeback Policy: Initiating a chargeback through a bank or payment provider is a violation of Tradeify’s Terms of Use. All active accounts will be immediately frozen and the user will be permanently banned from future purchases.

| Account Size | Growth | Select |
|---|---|---|
| $25K | $1,500 | $1,500 |
| $50K | $3,000 | $3,000 |
| $100K | $6,000 | $6,000 |

Note: Accounts purchased before the new dashboard launch may have a $2,500 profit target on the Select 50K.
Restricted Countries: A full list of completely restricted countries and countries restricted from Live accounts is documented. Key examples of completely restricted countries include Russia, Iran, North Korea, China, and Ukraine. Countries eligible for Sim Funded only (not Live) include Canada (Ontario residents only), South Korea, Nigeria, and South Africa among others.
Tradovate API: Available for Live funded accounts only. Not available for Evaluation or Sim Funded accounts.
EUREX Products Note: EUREX contracts are traded in euros but settled in USD. Currency conversion between EUR and USD explains P&L discrepancies for EUREX instruments.
Additional Rules
Microscalping Rule (Minimum Trade Duration): Over 50% of all trades and over 50% of all profit must come from trades held longer than 10 seconds. This applies to both evaluation activation and payout eligibility.
Funded Account Starting Balance: When a trader passes an evaluation and activates a Sim Funded account, the account starts at the base account size ($25K, $50K, $100K, or $150K) regardless of the evaluation ending balance. Profits earned during the evaluation do not carry over.
Geographic Payout Restrictions: Traders in certain countries are eligible for Sim Funded accounts and real payouts but cannot transition to Live accounts. These traders remain on Sim Funded accounts indefinitely and receive full 90/10 payout splits.
KYC / KYB Requirements: Identity verification (via Sumsub) and payout provider verification (via Rise) are both mandatory before any payout can be received. KYC can be completed at any time through the dashboard but must be completed before the first payout request.
DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging): Permitted as part of a structured strategy. Continuously adding to a losing position without a clear plan (“averaging into oblivion”) is discouraged but not explicitly prohibited.
News Trading: Permitted without restriction. Tradeify has no rules against or guidelines around trading news events. Traders assume all risk.
Martingale Strategy: Permitted as long as no hedging is involved. Traders must stay within drawdown and DLL limits.
Activation Fee
There are no activation fees for any Tradeify account type.
- Growth Evaluations: No activation fee
- Select Evaluations: No activation fee
- Lightning Funded: One-time purchase price only, and no additional activation fee
When a trader passes an evaluation, the funded account is activated automatically with no additional costs required.
Commissions
All information about the commission structure can be found here: https://help.tradeify.co/en/articles/10468315-trading-commission-fees
Payout Policy
Profit Split: 90% to trader / 10% to Tradeify on all Simulated Funded accounts (Growth, Select, and Lightning). Elite Live accounts use an 80/20 split (80% to trader).
Payout Processing Times:
