Our Take on Tradeify
Tradeify is an exceptionally fast growting futures prop firm. Since inception, the branded search volume grew to 165,000 searches per month within the United States, and nearly 400,000 globally, which is impressive for a new prop firm. Tradeify is one of the first firms that integrate with Tradesea trading platform, which is powered by an Rithmic data feed, while using Tradovate and Wealthcharts is also possible.
Overall, the offering is well-balanced. The EOD drawdown method is the most convenient one for prop traders and much better than an intraday drawdown method, which is a big plus. But the back-and-forth switching between consistency levels and daily loss limit rules in evaluation phases and then funded accounts is a bit frustrating. A straighter product lineup with those rules would be better.
- In the Growth program, for example, you trade the challenge without consistency rules, but with a daily loss limit. But then, once funded, things get harder because you then have a consistency rule of 35% (no single trading day’s profit can be bigger than 35% of total profit).
- In the Select Evaluation it is vice versa. You start with a 40% consistency in evaluation without a daily loss limit, but then in the funded stage the 40% consistency gets removed, but you have to choose between a daily and flex path, which differ in payout frequency, max payout, and whether a daily loss limit applies.
- The Lightning accounts are Tradeify’s instant funding accounts, with okay pricing, but a more than challenging consistency rule of 20%. I recommend reading our consistency rule guide if you are not aware of why this 20% is bad.
Considering the rules, the Select Evaluation accounts seem to be the better choice. Those who make it through the challenge with a 40% consistency rule will have it easier in funded accounts to reach a payout without the consistency rule applied. The Growth program is not a good choice because things get harder in the funding stage, and the 20% consistency in the Lightning accounts feels too restrictive.
What I’d like to see in future product releases is a consistent rule set across the evaluation stage to the funded stage with similar drawdown methods, daily loss and consistency rules, as TradeDay does.
