Our Take on The5ers

The5ers celebrates their 10th anniversary in 2026 and their new website layout looks nice. The old one was really kind of outdated, and the new one is fresh. I appreciate that The5ers is now more transparent about the real number of steps a trader has to go through. In the past, they called their Hyper Growth Program “instant funding”, which was kind of irritating because traders had to complete a challenge first before getting funded. Now, things are more transparent and the Hyper Growth Program is now called a 1-step program and the High Stakes Program is their 2-step program. They also kept their 3-steps program active (I wonder who is really trading this), called Bootcamp.

The problems begin when taking a closer look. For the CFD-products, the profit split is mentioned with up to 100%. What does up to mean? There is no tool-tip, no link to details, nothing. The help guides are hidden in the footer, instead of being made available in the navigation. So I checked their FAQ’s and found out that the profit split starts at 50/50. Before you reach the 100% profit split, you have to scale your account from an initial balance of $20,000 to (are you ready?) $1.28 million USD. So, yes, it is factually correct, the profit split goes as high as 100% for the CFD traders, but for transparency reason, there should either be the mention of the range of the profit split (50%-100%), or tool tip or link to the details.

What’s also new in 2026, is the The5ers Futures offer. Like I pointed out in my prop firm statistics, the prop firms forex market share is tanking and only firms that adapt to the popular assets preferred by prop traders will remain popular long term. The5ers has two account sizes for futures traders, 25K and 50K. Both are 1-step challenges. You can choose between the Basecamp logic, or the Rebate logic. The only difference is how much commission you pay when trading (Rebate logic means you get the paid commission back at the end of a trading day), and the price for the challenge. The5ers is the first prop firm where I see this type of difference.
In the Basecamp logic, you pay $50 for the 25K account in the evaluation phase, and a $70 fee once funded. The 50K account costs $100, and you pay $140 once funded.

I think having an activation fee is no longer the way to go. Prop firms tend more and more to offer challenges without activation fees. And this is where the Rebate logic comes into play because this one gives you a commission rebate, and you only pay a fee for the evaluation phase, and no activation fee. However, on the surface, it sounds great, but the details tell a different tale. The $25K account in the Rebate logic costs $150 (compared to Basecamp where you pay $50 in the evaluation and $70 activation fee, it is more expensive). The $50K account in the Rebate logic costs $300. In my opinion, if the main differentiator is the commission part, it should not be combined with a different kind of fee structure.

In futures accounts, the first payout is limited to 50% based on an 80/20 profit split, and then stays at 80/20 on all future payouts.
On futures challenges, The5ers uses an EOD drawdown method, which means the new drawdown for the next trading session gets calculated at the end of the current trading session, which is a beneficial logic for prop traders. The only trading platform supported on futures accounts is BlackArrow.

As one of the first prop firms, The5ers definitely found its well-established base in the prop firm sector. Their long-term existence speaks for the solid finances of the company and good positioning among competitors. Their new futures offers are priced on the higher end. The EOD drawdown for futures traders is good, but the different pricing models with/without activation fee and with/without commission rebate are a little bit irritating.

Reviewing the CFD offering of The5ers shows that the firm continues with the product range that they are successful with. What I would like to see is a better transparency about the profit split. Why not just mention that the payout is capped at 50% at the beginning?

Overall, The5ers is a solid prop firm you can count on. The prices are at the higher end, but that’s likely the price you pay for trading with a well-established prop firm.
