The5ers celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026 and its new website layout looks nice. The problems begin when taking a closer look. For the CFD products, the profit split is advertised as up to 100%. What does “up to” mean? There is no tooltip, no link to details, nothing. The help guides are hidden in the footer instead of being made available in the navigation. So I checked the FAQs and found out that the profit split starts at 50/50. Before you reach the 100% profit split, you have to scale your account from an initial balance of $20,000 to (are you ready?) $1.28 million USD. Factually correct, sure, but for transparency reasons there should at least be a mention of the full range (50% to 100%), or a tooltip, or a link to the details. The CFD side is what it is: familiar and established. The more interesting question in 2026 is what The5ers is doing in futures.
What’s also new in 2026 is The5ers Futures offer. Like I pointed out in my prop firm statistics, the prop firm forex market share is tanking and only firms that adapt to the popular assets preferred by prop traders will remain popular long term. The5ers has two account sizes for futures traders, 25K and 50K. Both are 1-step challenges. You can choose between the Basecamp program or the Rebate program. The main difference is that Basecamp charges an activation fee once you’re funded, while the Rebate program does not. However, the price discrepancy between the two is so high that the Rebate program rarely makes sense. The other difference is commissions: the Rebate program refunds all commissions paid at the end of each trading day, while Basecamp does not. The5ers is the first prop firm I’ve seen structure it this way. In the Basecamp program, you pay $50 for the 25K evaluation and a $70 activation fee once funded. The 50K evaluation costs $100, with a $140 activation fee once funded.
There are two significant drawbacks compared to other prop firms. First, the consistency rule of 30% is active across all stages, both evaluation and funded. Most other prop firms apply it to one stage or the other, not both. Second, the scaling plan caps the number of contracts available once funded at a lower level than during the challenge, which will frustrate traders who were comfortable with their position sizing during the evaluation. The only trading platform supported on futures accounts is BlackArrow.
A positive thing on futures challenges, The5ers uses an EOD drawdown method, which means the new drawdown for the next trading session gets calculated at the end of the current trading session, which is a beneficial logic for prop traders.
The5ers has been around long enough to outlast most of its competitors, and that matters. It pays out, it’s financially stable, and it’s not going anywhere. The futures pricing sits at the higher end. Overall, The5ers suits traders who prioritize stability over low fees.

The Basecamp program charges a one-time upfront evaluation fee plus an activation fee paid only after passing the evaluation. The profit target during evaluation is 6% of account size; a 4% ongoing target applies in the funded stage. The 3% max loss is an EOD (end-of-day) trailing drawdown that anchors to the all-time highest midnight balance or equity, meaning it can rise as your account grows but never decreases. There is no separate daily loss limit in either phase. The 30% consistency rule is a per-position rule: no single trade may account for more than 30% of total profits. A soft breach is allowed, meaning you can continue trading to bring the ratio into compliance rather than failing the account outright.

The Bootcamp account sizes grow progressively across the three phases: the $20K plan starts at $5,000 (Step 1), $10,000 (Step 2), $15,000 (Step 3), and reaches $20,000 upon funding. Similarly, the $100K plan runs $25,000 / $50,000 / $75,000 / $100,000 and the $250K plan runs $100,000 / $150,000 / $200,000 / $250,000. An additional funded account activation fee applies: $50 for the $20K plan, $205 for the $100K plan, and $350 for the $250K plan. No minimum profitable trading days are required during the evaluation. News trading is allowed except for bracket strategies around news. The profit split scales up to 100% through The5ers scaling plan.
Rules
Drawdown / Max Loss
Type of drawdown: End-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown. There is no intraday drawdown limit and no separate daily loss limit.
Maximum drawdown amount: 3% of the all-time high midnight balance or equity, across both account sizes and both programs (Rebate and Basecamp). This applies at the Evaluation stage and carries through to the funded stage unchanged.
How the EOD drawdown is calculated: At midnight each day, the system records the higher of your balance or equity. The drawdown floor is set at 97% of the highest midnight value ever recorded. If your account grows, the floor rises. If your account drops, the floor stays fixed at the previous peak. It anchors permanently to the all-time midnight high and never moves down.
Example (from official documentation):
- Day 1: $50,000 account. End-of-day balance = $51,000. Drawdown floor = $49,470 (97% of $51,000).
- Day 2: Balance drops to $50,500. Drawdown floor remains at $49,470.
Does the trailing drawdown lock? Yes. Once a new midnight high is set, the floor locks at that level. It does not trail intraday.
Consequence of breaching the drawdown: Account termination.
Impact of withdrawals on drawdown: After a payout, your account balance is reduced, which brings you closer to the 3% drawdown limit. The drawdown floor does not adjust downward to account for withdrawals. Traders are advised to leave sufficient buffer before requesting a payout.
Consistency Rule
Does a consistency rule exist? Yes. It applies at both the Evaluation stage and the funded stage, with identical parameters across both.
Threshold: No single trade may account for more than 30% of total profits.
Breach type: Soft breach only. Breaching the consistency rule does not immediately fail the account.
How to resolve a soft breach: Continue trading and increase total profits until the oversized trade represents 30% or less of the cumulative total. The account becomes compliant automatically once that ratio is reached.
Example (from official documentation):
- A single trade generates $1,200.
- Required total profit for compliance: $1,200 ÷ 0.30 = $4,000.
- Once total profits reach $4,000, the $1,200 trade equals exactly 30% and the breach is cleared.
Can the evaluation be passed in a single trading day? Yes. There is no minimum trading day requirement. However, the consistency rule still applies even if the profit target is hit in one session.
Leverage
Contract limits apply identically across the Evaluation and funded stages.
| Account Balance | Max E-mini Contracts | Max Micro Contracts |
|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | 2 | 20 |
| $50,000 | 4 | 40 |
Micros and minis share the same limit pool at a ratio of 10 micros per 1 mini contract. Holding 10 micros reduces the available mini allocation by 1.
Overnight position rule: Positions exceeding 1 mini contract or 10 micro contracts must be fully closed at least 10 minutes before market close (by 4:50 PM ET). This applies to both stages. Smaller positions (1 mini or 10 micros and under) may be held overnight.
Consequence of exceeding contract limits at close: Account termination.
Scaling plan contract increases (funded accounts only): Each time a funded account hits the 10% profit milestone and is approved for scaling, the trader receives an additional 1 mini contract and 10 micro contracts on the new account.

Shared evaluation objectives for both programs: 6% profit target, 30% consistency rule, 3% EOD drawdown limit.

Additional Rules
Scaling plan (funded accounts only): The scaling plan activates each time a funded account reaches a 10% profit milestone and all positions are closed. The account is disabled and sent to the Risk Department for review. Upon approval, a new account is issued with: the trader’s earned profits carried over, a 5% buying power increase on the base balance, and an additional 1 mini contract and 10 micro contracts added to the position limit.
Example scaling calculation (from official documentation):
- 1st funded account: $50,000
- Trader reaches 10% profit target; account balance = $55,000
- Profit split 80/20: $5,000 x 80% = $4,000 to trader
- New account balance = $50,000 base + 5% buying power ($52,500) + $4,000 profits = $56,500
Withdrawals and scaling: Withdrawals do not affect account scaling progress.
Payout cycle reset: The payout cycle resets each time a new scaled account is issued.
Activation Fee
Rebate program: No activation fee. The one-time evaluation fee is the only upfront cost.
Basecamp program: A one-time activation fee applies, charged after the trader successfully passes the evaluation. The fee must be paid before the funded account is activated.
Refundability: Activation fees are non-refundable once trading has commenced.
Commissions
All information about the commission structure can be found here: https://futures-help.the5ers.com/futures-trading-commissions-contracts-2026/
Commission rebate (Rebate program only): 100% of commissions paid during the trading day are refunded automatically at end of day. This applies to both the evaluation stage and the funded stage on the Rebate program.
Payout Policy
Profit split: 80% to the trader, 20% to the firm. This applies across all funded accounts.
Payout frequency: Biweekly (every 14 days).
When payouts become available: Only once the account is at the funded stage. Not available during evaluation.

Hub Credits can only be used toward purchasing new programs and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
How to request a payout: Via the Withdrawal button in the trader’s hub dashboard.
